The 2026 Annual U.S. National High School Chess Championship will take place March 27–30, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, organized by the U.S. Chess Federation. All sections will consist of seven rounds with Swiss system pairings. All games in the top sections (Championship, U1900, and U1600) will be played with a time control of G/90; d10. Rounds 1–3 in the lower sections (U1200, U800, and Unrated) will be played with a time control of G/60; d5, and Rounds 4–7 will be played with a time control of G/90; d10. Top 20 boards from Championship section will be broadcast on Chess.com and Lichess.org.
